The City of Fort Myers is seeking a qualified and responsible progressive design-build team to provide design, permitting, and construction services for expanding the capacity of the potable water supply wellfield. The project includes, but is not limited to, siting, design, and construction of potable water wells, raw water transmission main, and fiber optic communication network. In addition, rehabilitation of existing assets shall be performed. A resource management protocol shall be developed integrating the use of new wells with existing wells. All expansion improvements shall comply with necessary regulatory and code requirements, including but not limited to City of Fort Myers Building and Utilities Departments, SFWMD, and FDEP. The design-build team will develop a plan and schedule for implementation that optimizes budget, existing resources, seasonal demands, and material delivery.
