The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the FY 2026 Signage & Striping Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, this includes replacing roadway signs, street signs, and re-striping two city streets along with all associated measures for the complete project. The time allotted for completion is 90 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion and 120 consecutive calendar days for contract close-out. All work must be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded as one contract. Pre-qualification requirements: Any contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor or a registered Georgia Department of Transportation Subcontractor. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. Prequalification may be required prior to the award of contract. At the owner's request, detailed written evidence such as financial data, bonding capacity, previous experience, present commitments, and other relevant data may be necessary to determine the contractor's qualifications. All qualifying contractors and subcontractors must register and participate in the federal work authorization program commonly known as E-Verify to verify the work eligibility of new employees, and an Affidavit of Compliance must be submitted with the bid. All bid forms must also be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. All bonds must be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with appropriate ratings and listings, and accompanied by a Power of Attorney authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety.
