The work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and any other miscellaneous items necessary for the construction of paving approximately 2,600 linear feet (0.5 miles) of existing dirt road with base and asphalt. The width of paved road will be 9 and 10 feet wide in an existing cemetery. Additional work includes the removal of pine trees prior to the road construction. Time of completion for all work is 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of a written notice to proceed. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked as "Bid for City of Camilla, Cemetery Roads Improvements- Phase III" and labeled with the bidder's State of Georgia Department of Transportation Certificate of Registration Number. The bid must include a bid bond or certified cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish insurance, worker's compensation insurance, and performance and payment bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid. No bid will be accepted from any contractor who has not obtained plans and specifications from the designated engineering firm and whose name is not on the bidders list. All bids must be made out on the bid form provided, with no modifications. Contractors and subcontractors must comply with all relevant laws, and the successful bidder must act as prime contractor and have prior experience in similar-type construction. Question Deadline 06/04/2026 No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other bid documents will be made to any Bidder orally. All requests for such interpretation shall be in writing addressed to York & Associates Engineering, Inc., 308 E. Water Street, Bainbridge, Georgia 39817, and to be given consideration, must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
