Avenue West Miami, FL 33144 Email: LPittser@cityofwestmiami.gov later than Wednesday, July 8th, 2026at 3:00p.m General The City is seeking a licensed professional Contractor that can deliver a turn-key project to design/build a hurricane-resistant metal roof structure and the development of six (6) new pickleball courts at Recreational Center Park located at 1700 SW 62nd Avenue, West Miami, Florida 33144. The project includes demolition of existing courts, construction of new courts, installation of lighting and electrical systems, and associated improvements Current Location Condition Recreational Center Park has three (3) existing pickleball courts constructed with asphalt material; there is no lighting by the courts making it difficult to be able to use during the evening hours. Furthermore, during the hot summer months, it will be a challenge to play, especially for our senior residents. Proposals shall be itemized with pricing, and the City will have the right to substitute for or buy materials directly. The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, design, engineering, permitting, and construction services necessary to complete the project, including but not limited to the following:Project Objectives • Provide a durable, hurricane-resistant covered facility for pickleball activities • Construct six (6) regulation-size pickleball courts with modern amenities • Enhance player comfort through shading, ventilation, and lighting • Ensure long-term sustainability, including future solar panel capability • Maintain architectural consistency with the aesthetics of the existing park Demolition • Demolition and removal of existing pickleball courts • Proper disposal of all debris in accordance with applicable regulations • Site preparation for new constructionProject Objectives • Provide a durable, hurricane-resistant covered facility for pickleball activities • Construct six (6) regulation-size pickleball courts with modern amenities • Enhance player comfort through shading, ventilation, and lighting • Ensure long-term sustainability, including future solar panel capability • Maintain architectural consistency with the aesthetics of the existing park Demolition • Demolition and removal of existing pickleball courts • Proper disposal of all debris in accordance with applicable regulations • Site preparation for new construction
