Site work for a water / sewer project in Republic, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work generally consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 22 existing clay sanitary sewer lateral lines (quantity is an estimate for bidding purposes only; actual quantities may vary and will be paid on a unit price basis) with 4" PVC. Each lateral line is required to have tracer wire, a standard backflow preventer, and sewer cleanouts every 100 linear feet. Each new service should be tapped onto the sewer main with a standard 4" tap and saddle. The Contractor shall connect the new service to the existing home plumbing at the most suitable location, as determined by the City, 6 inches to 2 feet outside the house foundation. The Contractor will also remove any sump pump or illicit connections to the sanitary sewer system and daylight them to drain in accordance with applicable City standards and as directed by the City. All work will be required to meet the City of Republic Standard Specifications, latest edition, as adopted by the City and in effect as of the date of the Invitation for Bid. Figure 1 provides a general overview of the project neighborhood along West Charles Street.
