The County of Ashe, NC, is seeking qualified consultants to provide on-call professional development services. The services required include engineering, surveying, plan review, and other professional services to support various county departments. Firms may submit qualifications to provide services in one or multiple categories, which must be clearly noted in the Statement of Qualifications. The categories of work include: A. Transportation: This includes services for transportation projects such as roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, greenways, and parking. Services may involve project management, development, budgeting, engineering analysis and studies, surveying, design, permitting, subsurface utility engineering, geotechnical engineering, coordination, mapping, acquisition, preparation of construction documents, construction management, observation, as-builts, closeout, grant and loan application and management, Traffic Impact Analysis, traffic signals, and related professional services. Transportation work may also involve multimodal transportation and trail projects, including the Northern Peaks State Trail and enhanced connectivity between West Jefferson and Jefferson. B. Parks and Recreation: This includes services for master planning and design of parks, recreation, splashpads, aquatic recreation, and greenway projects. Tasks may include reviewing documentation, facilitating meetings, site investigations, public engagement, stakeholder meetings, developing concept and master plans, schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting and bidding materials, cost estimates, approval processes, prioritized recommendations, phasing plans, and presenting plans to staff and officials.
