Sealed proposals are requested for janitorial service at the Sanitary Engineering Department Business Office and the Boardman, Campbell, and Meander Wastewater Treatment Plants. Site visits are strongly encouraged and contact information for each facility is provided. Bidders may acquire specifications and proposal pages at the Sanitary Engineering Department or request them via email or USPS, with conditions on USPS requests. Bids are accepted only from official plan holders. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond of five percent (5%) of the proposal as a guarantee, and a performance bond totaling 100% of the contract price will be required after contract award unless specified otherwise. Corporations not chartered in Ohio must furnish proof of licensing, and every proposal must include a properly executed non-collusion affidavit and, if awarded, an affidavit per Sec. 5719.042 of the Ohio Revised Code. Proposals must clearly indicate the item being bid and the name and address of the bidder on the sealed envelope. All employees and applicants must be treated without discrimination based on race, color, sex, or national origin. The Board reserves the right to reject bids and waive informalities.
