The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of two rooftop HVAC units (RTUs) at the Centralia Recreation Center. This project covers the removal and disposal of existing units, installation of new compatible units, curb adapters, thermostats, economizers, hail guards, low ambient controls, and all related labor and materials. Instructions to bidders state that sealed proposals must be submitted to the City of Centralia - City Hall, Attn: City Clerk, at 114 S. Rollins Street, Centralia, MO 65240, Late submissions will not be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. For complete specifications and submission requirements, refer to the attached Request for Proposal document. The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the project, including but not limited to the following: Remove both existing RTUs from the roof. Provide crane service for removal and installation. Crane operations must be conducted from the parking lot on the north side of the building. Properly dispose of existing units, including refrigerant, in accordance with all applicable regulations. Provide replacement units meeting or exceeding the specifications outlined below. Provide curb adapters as required. Properly connect all drain lines, electric connections, and gas connections. Provide and install new programmable thermostats for each unit. Include EER2 and/or SEER2 ratings for each proposed unit. Provide and install economizers, quality hail guards, and low ambient controls.
