Renovation of a military facility in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The work consists of a full exterior building envelope renovation at the Field Research Facility, including replacement of approximately 5,893 square feet of siding, soffit, and trim; replacement of 25 hurricane-rated windows; replacement of four exterior commercial doors; replacement of an exterior staircase; installation of seven exterior light fixtures; exterior and interior painting; and all associated demolition, disposal, and site restoration. The contractor shall be regularly engaged in siding and window installation, be properly licensed by the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors, and demonstrate capability in coastal and hurricane-resistant construction practices. Work shall commence within 10 days after notice to proceed and be completed within 90 calendar days. The project scope is subject to change and the estimated construction cost ranges between $250,000 and $500,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
