MCW Custom Energy Solutions is seeking qualified trade contractors for upcoming remote building electrification work at 5 Wing Goose Bay, NL. This work forms part of the CFB Goose Bay Energy Performance Contract and includes work within existing buildings that will support the broader transition away from centralized steam distribution and toward electrified building heating systems. The scope is intended to attract qualified mechanical, electrical, controls, BAS, commissioning, testing, insulation, firestopping, balancing, and related specialty contractors with experience working in existing occupied facilities, active institutional or military environments, and projects requiring coordination with ongoing building operations. The CFB Goose Bay EPC includes requirements related to Indigenous Business Participation. The package will be delivered through one or more trade packages and includes all labour, materials, equipment, supervision, services, coordination, testing, commissioning, and incidentals required to complete the remote building electrification work. The scope generally includes demolition, modification, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and closeout for mechanical, electrical, and controls systems within existing buildings. The work includes heating system demolition and new work, ventilation system demolition and new work where indicated, electrical demolition and new work, BAS and controls integration, equipment connections, panel and power distribution modifications, metering, firestopping, painting and finish restoration, testing and balancing, commissioning support, training, and closeout documentation. Final scopes, package limits, building limits, phasing, shutdown requirements, and interface responsibilities will be defined in the issued tender documents. Typical inclusions: Heating system demolition and new work, ventilation system demolition and new work where indicated, electric resistance heating equipment and accessories, mechanical piping and equipment support work, testing, adjusting, and balancing for HVAC systems, BAS and controls work, electrical demolition and new work, electrical connections to new mechanical and controls equipment, firestopping and penetration sealing, painting and finish restoration, waste management, coordination with existing building operations, and providing all required permits, documentation, and closeout materials for the applicable trade package. Trade Contractors and applicable subcontractors should have, or be able to obtain, the required organizational and personnel security clearances for work on a Canadian Forces Base.
