The services include inspection and routine maintenance of hydrants, lubrication or oiling of the bonnet, ensuring all stems, caps, plugs, and threads are in proper working condition, and applying food-grade anti-seize compound to each hydrant port. All lubricants, oils, and anti-seize materials used must meet food-grade standards. Vendors must also clear all vegetation within a three-foot radius of each hydrant as part of the maintenance process. Contracts may be awarded to multiple vendors to fulfill these requirements.
