Resurfacing of Eola Road utilizing Surface Transportation Program (STP) federal funds administered through the Kane-Kendall Council of Mayors. The project is anticipating utilizing regionwide redistribution funds with federal participation at 75% of construction and construction engineering costs. The Illinois Department of Transportation will front-fund the cost of construction and invoice the city for its share. The city will be required to front-fund construction engineering. Phase I and II will be completed in-house by engineering staff with drafting assistance potentially being provided by a consultant. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026. This project is anticipated to be let and constructed together with GB172 & GB173. Costs shown are for 1/3 of the total combined project cost. The project is included in the City 2026-2035 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
