Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Westfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Westfield Middle School Demonstration Stormwater BMP and Parking Lot Project. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The work consists of a Base Bid and two (2) Alternates. The Base Bid work includes selective milling and demolition of areas of the Westfield Middle School main parking area, select removal of existing site features (fencing, signage, bollards, etc.), removing and resetting of existing curbs, relocation of some light poles, new bituminous concrete pavement, new cement concrete sidewalks and curb ramps, new drainage infrastructure including a tree trench and bioretention basin, new striping and signage, new wood fencing, new interpretive signage, and new landscape soils and plantings. The Base Bid work also includes the construction of a new concrete dumpster pad at the rear side of the middle school with protective bollards. The Alternate 1 work includes expanding the main parking area with selective demolition of existing site features (trees, fencing, pavement), new bituminous concrete pavement and curbing, new striping, new bioretention basin, new interpretive signage, relocating some light poles, and new landscape soils and planting. The Alternate 2 work includes widening the rear parking area by demolishing a section of existing bituminous concrete pavement and sidewalk, removing and resetting existing granite curb, new bituminous concrete pavement, new striping and signage, new curb ramps, and restoration of existing lawn. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form.
