Renovation of a power facility in Denison, Iowa. Working plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete construction of Dension Substation, Stage 10. The work includes coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative and the local utility cooperative to install a temporary service feed to the existing station service distribution panel; furnishing and installing one new control building with installation of government-furnished control panels for 230kV only, relays, and a station and communication battery system; furnishing and installing new cable trenches from the new control building to the 69kV, 161kV, and 230kV yards; replacing two cable trench crossings; removing existing fiber from the 69kV NIPCO bay to the existing control building; furnishing and installing new fiber from the new control building to the existing service building and to a new fiber optic splice enclosure; furnishing and installing one station service lineup; removing pad-mounted station service transformers, safety switches, automatic transfer switch, and main distribution switchboard for return to WAPA; expanding and upgrading the 230kV yard, including installation of government-furnished circuit breakers, instrument transformers, and disconnect switches; furnishing and installing electrical equipment supports, one take-off structure, and outdoor bus systems; furnishing and installing one fiber optic splice enclosure and one pull box; furnishing and installing control and power cables; furnishing and installing concrete foundations; demolition and removal of existing foundations; furnishing and installing grounding and conduit systems; and completing miscellaneous site work as specified. All work shall be completed within 600 days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
