Renovation of an educational facility in Forest, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project includes cafeteria renovations at Forest High School, consisting of a new ceiling system, lighting, rubber base, wall finishes, serving line, and drinking fountain as shown in the contract documents. Additive alternates include new serving lines for Hawkins Middle School and Forest Elementary School; interior kitchen upgrades at Forest High School; installation of porcelain floor tile in the Forest High School cafeteria dining area; new cafeteria seating; rollup doors at Forest High School; and a new washer and dryer area for the Forest Elementary School cafeteria. Sealed lump sum bids will be received for all work required by the contract documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked plainly as specified, listing the bidder's company name, address, and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers. Electronic bids may also be submitted through the designated website. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in an amount equal to at least five percent of the Base Bid. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed and able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful bidder. The work associated with the Forest High School kitchen and serving line, as well as serving lines at Hawkins Middle School and Forest Elementary School, shall be substantially completed by July 30, 2026, and the entire project shall be fully completed no later than September 1, 2026. The work is subject to liquidated damages as set forth in the Contract Documents.
