Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The objectives of the renovation are to improve accessibility to the auditorium that better serves the public who utilize the services within the building (reorganizing program space and increase accessibility) and complete general upgrades throughout the affected areas, including finishes. Priority items for the renovation include, but may not be limited to the following: i. Convert and expand the existing single-occupant Water Closet (WC) into a Universal WC. ii. Provide six (6) level wheelchair spaces, ten (10) adaptable seating spaces, and one (1) designated mobility device storage area in the auditorium. iii. Provide a power door operator to existing door ED142. iv. Provide a ramp to connect corridor level to auditorium level. v. Modify the two (2) existing stairs down to the auditorium. vi. Modify the two (2) existing stairs up to the stage. vii. Provide tactile attention indicators at the edge of the stage. viii. Replace carpet floor finish in the auditorium. x. Refresh multi-stall WC 125 & 126. x. Preparation for AV equipment upgrade. xi. Exterior ramp & stairs redevelopment (Provisional item).
