Description

Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Cleveland, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 1,500,000-square-foot industrial development; office development; and retail development.

The City of Cleveland, in partnership with the nonprofit Site Readiness for Good Jobs Fund, is advancing a large-scale redevelopment initiative known as the Midline. The effort targets approximately 350 acres of abandoned and underutilized industrial land located between Euclid Avenue’s HealthLine corridor and the Opportunity Corridor, with proximity to two commuter rail stations. The project aims to remediate, assemble and prepare the land for future private development, with long-term plans calling for at least 1.5 million square feet of new industrial and commercial space and the creation of more than 2,500 jobs. To date, roughly $10 million has been spent on land acquisition, environmental testing and demolition, with total site preparation costs expected to reach up to $100 million over several years.
