A TRAIL tack coat placed prior to paving with Superpave Type D mix is specified. Contractor shall provide QA/QC with the required bulk samples and cores per specification for each days work for conformance with density and specification requirements. Milling/ B mix Paving: In locations determined by the Hays County Representative pavement will be milled to 5 of depth from existing paving. Tie-ins at intersecting roadways, concrete driveways, bridge decks shall be milled to a 2 depth for a smooth transition. The Contractor will be responsible for repairs/damage to utilities while removing around water valve/manhole castings to a depth of 5. The Contractor will provide the trucking and dumpsite for haul off materials. After milling the location will be free of loose material and a tack coat applied to the water valve/manholes prior to paving. The Contractor will be responsible to provide safe access for residents driveways. B mix shall not be placed until underlying base is approved by Hays County. Proof rolling of the prepared base may be required, rutting or pumping will require rework. 5 of TXDOT Item 341 Type B shall be placed and compacted per specifications. Level up Operations: In locations determined by the Hays County Representative D mix level ups may be required to improve ride quality prior to overlay. These areas will be quantified on a per-ton basis and payment.
