Description

Site work for a transportation facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The work consists of drilling and pumping limited mobility grout to prevent further surface subsidence of the railroad tracks on the Norristown High Speed Line (NHSL) of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Suburban Transit Division (STD) in a sinkhole-prone area. The contract includes surveying and laying out the primary locations of the drill holes, drilling pipe into soil/rock and injecting grout material, monitoring movement of the track and surrounding ground, structures, utilities, and other facilities, surveying track elevations at the beginning and end of each shift when pumping to ensure the track does not move, protection of the track from damage caused by equipment, cleanup and restoration of work areas, and providing RWP training for all untrained personnel and those whose SEPTA RWP training has lapsed. Contractors are requested to review project information and notify of interest. Participation in this process authorizes SEPTA to use, modify, and publish any submitted information and does not obligate SEPTA to engage or compensate contractors in any manner. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. "Requests for proposals for design services is underway."
