Work involves the resurfacing of Boston Mills Road for Phase 3 and Phase 4. Existing roadway will be milled, widened, and overlaid from approximately 800 feet west of Richfield Twp./Boston Twp. corp. line to 2250 feet east of Richfield/Boston Corp line (Phase 4) and from 2250 feet east of Richfield /Boston Corp. line to 5084 feet east of the Corp. Line (Phase 3). Substandard shoulders will be widened and improved where possible. The existing cross section will be maintained. Engineer's Estimate: $1,308,285.40 Completion Date: November 13, 2026 Allows zero unit prices and labor No Allows negative unit prices and labor No This is a highway resurfacing and widening project involving milling, overlaying, and shoulder improvements on existing roadway sections totaling approximately 5,000 feet. Hard copies will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. The County reserves the right to reject all bids. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee, in the form of a bid bond, a certified check or a cashiers check, in conformity with the requirements of ORC section 153.54 (A) and (B) and 153.571. If a bid bond is used, the bond shall be in the full amount of the bid and signed by a surety company authorized to do business in Ohio, and accompanied by the surety's power of attorney affirming said signature. If a certified check or cashiers check is used, the instrument shall be drawn on a solvent bank in an amount not less than three percent (3%) of the bid. The bid guarantee shall be given as security that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be executed in conformity with the bid. Bids less than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) shall not require a bid guarantee. A copy of the signed bid bond or check must be included with the electronic bid submission. The signed original must be received within three business days addressed to: Shannon McNulty, Central Purchasing Office, 175 S. Main St., Room 742, Akron, Ohio 44308. The bid guarantee of the successful bidder will be returned upon execution of the contract. Bid guarantees of unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon a written request submitted to the Engineer's Office.
