The City of Fitchburg will receive bids for 2026 Whalen Rd Paved Shoulders This project is to pave shoulders on to sections of Whalen Rd and consists of approximately 1,500 tons of HMA Pavement, earthwork to re-grade the new shou ders, as well as other miscellaneous Items of work. Proposals shall be ac companied by a Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the bid, payable to the Fitchburg Treasurer, as a guarantee that the bidder, if the bid is accepted, will execute and file Contract and Band within 15 days of award. Performance and Payment Bonds each 100% of the bid, with executed Contract is required of successful bidder. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
