This bridge would span an approximate 100' section of the Cocheco River that would connect the Overlook to the downtown sections of the River Walk. This connection would create the core of half-mile downtown River Walk loop. This loop would provide a safe and scenic walk along the Cocheco and through the center of the downtown business district. The bridge is integral to completing this section of the River Walk and would provide expansion (River Walk) opportunities in the future. The project is included in the City's 2027-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
