Currently a 6" Cast Iron water main connects the 12" Ductile Iron water main in Rochester Hill Road to a 12" Ductile Iron water main on Whitehall Road starting at Sunset Drive. The 6" water main was installed in 1940, and serves the hospital. Replacement and upsizing of this pipe is essential to ensure adequate water flow through the system and continued service to this critical infrastructure. Because of the impacts to Rochester Hill Road intersection, and overall length of water line replacement, this project exceeds the scope of what is typically managed as a general water distribution improvement, and has been separated as a stand alone capital improvement. The project is included in the City's 2027-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
