Submit written questions to be addressed at Prebid meeting minimum of two (2) business days prior to meeting. The project consists of the installation of a new all-weather surface on the existing asphalt track, high jump pad, and long/triple jump runways at the West Burlington, Iowa campus. The project will also include painting and marking the track surface, including stripes, lanes, labels, and similar details. The existing asphalt surface shall be prepared and repaired as required by the new work. Bids must be on a lump sum basis for a single prime contract as described in the specifications. Each bid shall be made on a form furnished by the Architect/Engineer and sealed in an envelope. Bid security in the amount of five percent must be submitted in a separate envelope, in the form of a cashier's or certified check, or a Bid Bond on the form provided. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the contract within ten days of the issuance of the "Notice of Intent to Award." All bidders must provide a statement regarding the bidder's resident status using the Bidder Status Form as designated by the Iowa Department of Labor Commissioner. The statement must be signed by an authorized representative of the bidder. Failure to provide this completed statement may result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive and rejected. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities as allowed by law, and to enter into such contract or contracts as deemed in the best interests of Southeastern Community College. A preference will be given to products and provisions grown and/or produced within the State of Iowa, and resident bidder preference will be applied as required under Iowa statutes.
