The work involves the installation of approximately 14,150 linear feet of 4-inch steel gas main, 600 linear feet of 2-inch steel gas main, and 1,900 linear feet of 2-inch HDPE gas main. It also includes the installation of 700 linear feet of 3/4-inch steel service line, approximately seven service connections, associated valves and taps, about 15 tie-ins to existing gas mains, and the abandonment of existing mains along SR 52 between Hartford and Slocumb. The project must be substantially completed within 120 calendar days and fully completed within 150 calendar days from the contract commencement. Bidders must be properly licensed under Alabama State Law Governing General Contractors, must carry the MU - Municipal and Utility classification, and provide evidence of licensing. Nonresident contractors must submit proper registration and a Certificate of Good Standing as a Foreign Corporation. Preference will be given to resident contractors as per Alabama law. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with E-Verify requirements and submit the Affidavit of Immigration Compliance and required documentation. The contractor will also be required to provide two Owner's Protective Liability Policies naming Geneva County Gas District and Three Notch Group, Inc. as insureds. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
