Additions and renovations to the Phil Campbell Campus of Northwest Shoals Community College involving onsite installation of four nursing simulator rooms with a control room. Sealed proposals must be submitted in accordance with the requirements, including the use of proposal forms furnished by the Architect (Engineer) or copies thereof. A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five percent of the amount of the bid, but not exceeding $10,000, must accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and payment bonds, as well as evidence of insurance required in the bid documents, will be required at contract signing. Only general contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to pre-qualification procedures and criteria established by the Owner will be eligible to bid for the Project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. Bids must be submitted by licensed contractors under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and current license numbers must be displayed on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the specified online locations. Other sets for general contractors, subcontractors, and dealers may be obtained with the same deposit, refundable less the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution if not returned in good condition within ten days of bid date. Pre-qualification requirements: All interested general contractors shall contact the Architect to receive criteria and the pre-qualification application for this project. Pre-qualification application forms must be emailed to the specified address and received by the stated deadline. Only general contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to pre-qualification procedures and criteria established by the Owner will be eligible to bid for the project.
