Description

Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The major items of work for this tender include: Demolition and disposal of an existing two span timber bridge with timber deck including removal of piles to 1.5 m below grade. The timber caps and stringers shall be salvaged as directed by the Consultant and delivered to the RM's yard in Loon Lake; Excavation and backfill as required for construction of the foundation and abutments; Installation of driven steel pipe piles; Placement of precast concrete abutment caps, cast-in-place concrete for pile-to-cap connection, and installation of lock block wing walls; Placement of precast concrete box girders and associated grouting; Roadwork to increase road elevation and re-grade the road approaches and ditches on either side of the bridge; Fabrication and installation of bridge rails and approach rails; and Embankment regrading and erosion control including rip rap, grass seeding, erosion control blankets, and sediment control. Tenders must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or certified cheque in the amount of 5% of the Total Payable by Owner listed in Section 00 41 13, Bid Form - Stipulated Price, payable to the Rural Municipality of Loon Lake and a Consent of Surety to furnish a Performance Bond and Labour and Materials Payment Bond each in the amount of 50% of the tendered price.
