As of July 23. 2026 Project has been awarded to H G Mays Corporation, Awarded amount is no available. The project involves the resurfacing of Burks Branch Road, which is 12,870 feet long, from Freedom's Way North to Fox Run Road. The scope includes applying approximately 2,899 tons of 1.50-inch thick asphalt surface. Work must include proper tack coating and compaction. Milled edge keys and clearing pavement edge vegetation are incidental. The contractor is responsible for providing traffic control that meets MUTCD standards and must notify local residents of work dates at least 24 hours in advance. The only bid item is asphalt, priced per ton. The project must be completed and invoiced by May 17, 2027, with a daily penalty of $500.00 for delays. Bidders must be qualified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and a 100% performance bond is required. Materials must meet KYTC specifications. Bonds: 100% Performance Bond.
