The purpose is to establish a contract through sealed bids for the construction and completion of the Pump Station 11 Force Main Project. The work includes installation of approximately 6,249 linear feet of 12-inch C900 PVC force main and approximately 451 linear feet of 14-inch HDPE force main. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. This includes installation of the 12-inch C900 PVC force main via open cut, 14-inch HDPE force main via horizontal directional drilling, and all associated valves, fittings, structures, interconnections, and related appurtenances for a complete and operable system. Additional requirements include maintenance of traffic, roadway milling and resurfacing, pavement restoration, site grading, landscaping restoration if required, erosion control, cleanup, testing, startup, and commissioning. All work must be performed in strict accordance with contract documents and include materials, equipment, transportation, utilities, temporary facilities, permits, and ancillary services required for a complete project. Upon completion, the system must be fully tested, commissioned, and accepted by the engineer and the city. The City encourages participation by minority, women, and disadvantaged business enterprises, with prime contractors encouraged to ensure participation by such firms as subcontractors and suppliers. The contractor is responsible for coordination with utilities, site constraints, groundwater management, trench safety, and sequencing activities, with full restoration of all disturbed areas required.
