Industry Day at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida - Thursday, May 14, 2026 *Revision 1 - 4/23/26 - Meeting Location has been updated to Building 360; the attachment has been updated as well. The work consists of providing fully functional, state-of-the-art aircraft arresting systems for the runway, along with runway rubber removal and restriping. The project includes replacement of deteriorated BAK-12 shelters with new frangible shelters, replacement of BAK-12 and fairlead beam foundations, replacement of tape tubes, and replacement of emergency generators serving the BAK-12 systems. Existing road surfaces from the taxiway to the BAK-12 shelters will be paved. Existing BAK-14 systems will be demolished and replaced with new BAK-14M cable retraction systems installed at the BAK-12 locations. Foundations with anchors for MB100.10.C bidirectional textile brake and hook cable arresting systems will be installed at the overruns, and the MB100.10.C systems will be installed. Additional work includes construction of concrete tape sweeps and bypass pavement for the textile brake systems. All design, construction, and aircraft arresting system installation shall conform to AFI 32-1043 and applicable Technical Orders. Displaced thresholds, temporary markings, and temporary lighting are required during construction activities at each end of the runway. CONSTRUCTION MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this construction project is anticipated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 in accordance with FAR 36.204. 29050 Coral Sea Blvd, Homestead, FL 33039. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
