Site work for a water / sewer project in Okeechobee, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work includes providing all materials, equipment, and labor for the construction of the Okeechobee Utility Authority VPS #5 Group J Septic to Sewer Project. The contractor shall install 4-inch diameter PVC sewer laterals, decommission onsite residential septic tanks, connect into the existing sewer lateral located at the right-of-way of each residence, and restore the work area. Bidders must submit bids for the entire project; partial bids will not be considered. Each bid must include evidence of licensure or qualification to perform the work. Bids must be sealed and include a certified check or acceptable bid bond of at least five percent of the bid amount. If the bid is accepted, the bidder must execute the contract and provide performance and payment surety bonds equal to one hundred percent of the contract price within ten days after receiving notice of contract award. Bids may not be withdrawn for ninety days after opening. The OUA reserves the right to waive informalities, delete or extend portions of the project, reject any or all bids, and postpone the award for up to sixty days after bid opening.
