Reference Number 0000423635 The Okeechobee County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a qualified contractor to construct a six-court outdoor pickleball facility. The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the project in full accordance with the approved Site Plan, project specifications, general notes, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The pickleball courts shall be laid out and constructed to meet or exceed current national pickleball court standards, including recognized dimensional, orientation, surface, fencing, net, and lighting requirements. The project includes complete site preparation; saw cutting and selective demolition of existing sidewalk; removal of existing electrical equipment; construction of court foundations; asphalt surfacing; acrylic color coating; installation of perimeter fencing and individual court enclosures; net systems; and a fully functional LED sports lighting system, including new electrical service and tie-in. The six courts will be arranged in two rows of three, each court individually enclosed and oriented North-South to minimize sun glare. All work limits, demolition extents, court layout, utility removals, lighting locations, and surface tie-in points shall be as shown on the attached Site Plan and associated details. The Bidder, if awarded the Contract and the bid amount is $100,000 or more, will execute and file acceptable performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price within ten (10) calendar days after written notice of the award of contract. The Board of County Commissioners have the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
