Roanoke County Public Schools is seeking proposals for a solar energy system for the new Roanoke County Career and Technology Center (RCCTC). Inquiries must be received at least seven (7) business days prior to the due date in order to be considered. Provide all labor and materials to install a turnkey solar energy system which will offset the electrical needs of RCCTC (using model data provided for Cave Spring High School) at least 75%. Proposals are to be for an outright purchase of the system and should not include Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). Proposals must include the following information at a minimum, but detailed specifications are encouraged: o Price of the system including full turnkey installation and startup o Size of the system including output in kW and the number of solar panels o The number of Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) earned per year and the projected income generated o Energy production projections on a per month basis o The amount of federal tax credits for which the school system would qualify and any critical dates which must be met to qualify for the tax credits o Projected monthly maintenance costs and details related to monthly/yearly maintenance o Estimated construction time for completion of system o Estimated savings over the life of the system o Panel and inverter types/grades/specifications (i.e. string inverters, micro inverters, grade of panels, mono/bi-facial panels, type of panels, make/model of panels/inverters) o Provision for remote monitoring and diagnosis o Equipment and workmanship warranty details o Guaranteed production information (if any) o Provide a guarantee that the contractor will provide certified documentation that the system meets the requirements for federal tax rebates
