The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and all else necessary to remove the existing carbon filter media from three 40,000-pound treatment vessels; install replacement granular activated carbon in the same three vessels for a total of 120,000 pounds of media; perform other appurtenant and related work; and all else necessary to complete the work at the Oak Lane PFAS Treatment Facility. The contract must be completed within 35 calendar days, commencing 20 calendar days from the date of issuance of the Notice of Award. All bids must be submitted on the provided forms, in a sealed envelope marked with the bidder’s name and address, owner’s name, contract number, and title. Each bid requires a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond for ten percent of the total bid (not to exceed $20,000), and must include a Consent of Surety Form from an authorized surety company. The successful bidder must provide payment and performance bonds each for 100% of the contract award. All relevant labor and wage acts and employment conditions must be observed. Bidders must complete the Ownership Disclosure Statement, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Affirmative Action Assurance Form, and submit the required list of specialty trade subcontractors and business registration certificates as applicable. The project is subject to other requirements as listed in the instructions to bidders, including compliance with Department of Labor regulations and registration acts, and the right of the Borough to reject proposals and waive informalities is reserved.
