Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and transportation facility.
The Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA), with funding from METRO, VCTC, California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA), and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), proposes to rehabilitate the Pacific Surfliner Corridor on the Ventura County Line (SCRRA’s Ventura Subdivision). The Ventura County Line serves Metrolink commuter trains (operated by SCRRA), Pacific Surfliner intercity passenger trains (operated by Amtrak), Amtrak’s Coastal Starlight trains (operated by Amtrak), and Union Pacific Railroad freight trains. The construction work may include earthwork, culvert work, track work, tunnel track work, traffic control planning and coordination with Union Pacific Railroad and its third-party contractors, SCRRA signal and communications contractor, SCRRA and SCRRA contracted employees. Bidders must submit evidence of prior performance on a multi-scoped project consisting of three Scopes of Work (SOWs): Ventura Track & Structures, Ventura Tunnel 26, and Valley Tunnel 25. Required forms and certifications must be submitted as part of the bid, and a General Engineering Contractor (Class A) license is required.
