The city of Waynesboro is seeking an engineering firm or individual engineer to provide engineering and design services for its Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) application. The award of the engineering contract is contingent upon the grant being funded by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Responding firms should be technically qualified and licensed to provide design and inspection services for local, state, and federally funded projects, including engineering services and programs. Selection will follow local procurement requirements, the Uniform Administration Requirements (24 CFR Part 85.36), and the Georgia Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program Recipients Manual. This is a Section 3 contract opportunity subject to Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements. The City reserves the right to request additional information, interview consultants, waive informalities and minor irregularities, reject submissions, reissue RFQs, or amend the procurement process at its discretion. Evaluation of qualifications will consider project approach, timing, experience, quality of work, capacity of performance, and past performance on local government construction projects (timeliness, budget adherence, and quality of work). Consultants are responsible for all costs associated with their submissions.
