Site work and paving for a road / highway in Ottawa Hills, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project consists of road reconstruction of Edgevale Road from West Bancroft Street to Secor Road. Work includes new full depth asphalt pavement, new curb, isolated sidewalk replacements, driveway apron replacements, storm sewer improvements, sanitary sewer replacements, and a new water main to replace the existing water main. Bidders are required to provide all necessary permits, labor, material, and services. All bids must be signed, state the unit prices, and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked 'Edgevale Road Reconstruction'. Each bid must include a Bid Guaranty in the form of a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid. Bidders must submit an affidavit regarding delinquent taxes in Lucas County, Ohio, after the award and before entering into the contract. This is a prevailing wage project and the contractor must provide a one-year maintenance bond in the amount of 25% of the construction cost upon project completion. Domestic steel use requirements apply. The owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and investigate to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder.
