BCIT is seeking a Qualified Generator Contractor (GC) or a Roofing Contractor to act as the Prime Contractor for this project. Please refer to Schedule 1 Section 07 52 16 Page 3 of 21 for the following requirements: a) Roofing contractor must be in good standing with the Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia (RCABC). b) Conform to the latest RoofStar Guarantee Standards of the Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia (RCABC) roofing practices manual. c) Applicators must be certified by membrane manufacturer. d) Foreperson shall have a minimum of 5 years experience in roofing industry. e) Ensure at least one journey person roof installer is on site at all times. The intent is that all three (3) roof replacement would happen simultaneously, so that the majority of the scope is completed prior to the September 2026 semester school start. This includes the removal and replacement of all the existing roof assembly material down to the existing support deck and the installation of new roof assembly, roof scuppers and drains, rooftop mechanical equipment lifts, ductwork and all related work as specified including disconnection and reconnection of rooftop mechanical units.
