The project includes the removal of existing deteriorated foam insulation coating and reinsulating Tank “B” at the Eureka Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1485 Lower State Road in Montgomery Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Prospective bidders are advised that a non-mandatory pre-bid site meeting will be conducted for this project. All bids must include lump sum or unit prices to be considered for award by the Authority after review. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft or bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to the Authority. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies if the estimated cost is in excess of $25,000, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the wage rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must ensure that employees, subcontractors, and applicants for employment are not discriminated against due to race, color, religion, sex or national origin and are legally authorized to work in the United States. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate bonds with corporate surety, or equivalent financial security, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, to secure the faithful performance and maintenance of the contract, and the prompt payment of materials and labor. All applicable provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act must be strictly adhered to. Bids must be accompanied by a completed Bid Form, Bidder’s Qualification Statement, electronic copy of Bid Bond, executed Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Public Works Verification Form as set forth in the Contract Documents.
