The improvement includes two additional engine generators, generator accessories, and ventilation in Building 73, including mechanical, electrical, architectural, structural, switchgear, networking, and control modifications. The work requires all necessary materials, equipment, labor, miscellaneous associated work, and cleanup in accordance with the contract documents located at the Wastewater Reclamation Facility, 3000 Vandalia Road, Des Moines, Iowa. Sealed proposals must be submitted via the specified electronic bid submission system. Paper, fax, or emailed bids will not be considered. Late bids will be rejected automatically. The Jurisdiction reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and technicalities, and defer acceptance for 60 calendar days after opening. Work is to commence upon approval and issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed by December 31, 2029. Each bid requires security as defined by state code. Preference will be given to Iowa products and labor as required by law. Sales tax is not to be included in bids; a sales tax exemption certificate will be provided for materials.
