Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Berkeley Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
The work includes milling and overlay of Haines Street, installation of 1,300 linear feet of concrete vertical curb, 570 square yards of concrete sidewalk, approximately 23,450 square yards of milling at variable depth, approximately 3,135 tons of hot mix asphalt surface course, traffic striping, and all other necessary and incidental work. Each proposal must be submitted using the forms provided within the contract documents and enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, along with the name of the project. The envelope must contain all materials specified under "Instructions to Bidders." Incomplete bids or those not submitted in a sealed, specially addressed envelope may be considered informal. Each bid must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a bid bond or certified check for an amount equal to ten percent of the contract bid, not to exceed $20,000, made payable to Lacey Township without condition or qualification. Bidders are required to comply with Chapter 127, P.L. 1975, c. 127, regarding the submission of an Affirmative Action Program for equal opportunity. Compliance with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27, the Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.), and N.J.S.A. 34:1B-5.1, Chapter 150, Laws of 1963, is also required. If the bidder is a corporation or partnership, a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders owning ten percent or more interest in the firm must be submitted with the bid. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer and shall be postmarked at least ten (10) days before the established date for Bid opening
