Levee enlargement and flood risk management construction along the NOV-10A reach of the West Bank Mississippi River Levee, extending approximately 9.3 miles. The work involves raising the existing levee to the authorized 2-percent (50-year) Level of Risk Reduction crown elevation of 18.6 feet NAVD88 (2009.55), constructing waterside wave berms and landside stability berms as required, and placing earthen fill. Stabilization measures may include landside berm construction or ground improvement using deep material mixing. Additional work may include placement of riprap along the west bank of the Mississippi River, demolition and replacement of local asphalt roadways, demolition and replacement of concrete slope paving, and installation of grouted riprap. The project may require contractor-furnished borrow material depending on availability of government-furnished sources at the time of solicitation. Magnitude of Work: Between $100,000,000.00 and $250,000,000.00 The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
