Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation, Water Infrastructure and Operations Branch, requires mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance and repair services for provincially owned water management infrastructure. The scope includes ongoing inspection, assessment, maintenance, repair, or replacement of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic components for over 20 dams, conveyance canals, and related infrastructure, mainly in the Oldman River basin and Cypress Hills area. The contractor will provide these services on an on-demand basis, including coordinating or subcontracting specialized inspection or maintenance work. Work may involve dam spillway headworks, hydraulic operator upgrades, electrical systems, fluid testing and replacement, and installation or removal of complex machinery. Services will be delivered under the direction of a project manager, with some tasks requiring oversight from a Consultant Engineer. Most initial work will be at the St Mary Dam site, with similar services provided at other locations in the area as needed. The contractor must supply experienced and specialized personnel and may coordinate subcontractors or trades for various tasks.
