Sealed bids are requested for the construction of the Wastewater Lagoon Decommissioning Project, Phase 1 at Tougaloo College, MS. Bidding documents may be examined free of charge at Eley-McPherson Engineering or participating plan rooms and purchased online. Only those who purchase documents are eligible to bid. Bids may be submitted in person, by mail, or electronically, and specific marking requirements for sealed envelopes must be followed, including company name, address, and Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility Number. Bidders must be licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Contractors for the relevant type of work. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, and proof of registration with the U.S. Government's System for Award Management (SAM) by providing a Unique Entity ID (UEI) number. The successful bidder must execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond for 100% of the contract value, issued by a surety licensed in Mississippi. Attention is called to employment conditions, minimum wage rates, and the solicitation of minority and women's business enterprises. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities.
