Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Jackson, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work consists of installing 85 'Acorn' light fixtures and 3 'Blue Security' lights along John R. Lynch Street, as well as all other related items of work required to complete the project as shown and specified in the contract documents. The contractor is responsible for performing all necessary work and providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings. Work must comply with the Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017, and all relevant amendments and provisions. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price as bid security. Bidders may be required to submit a current financial statement. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Proposals and contract documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope. No stripped bids will be accepted. Bidders may also submit electronically as specified. The attention of bidders is directed to contract provisions regarding selection and employment of labor, predetermined minimum wage rates, and compliance with the Work Hours Act of 1962.
