Construction of electrical and communications ductbank, street lighting, water line, and associated accessories for the Smoky Mountain Innovation Park. Base Bid: construction of electrical and communications ductbank, street lighting, water line and associated accessories, including, but not limited to utility trenching, ductbanks, electrical equipment and pads, light poles, bases and fixtures, water line appurtenances, and miscellaneous site work as shown in the Contract Drawings and required for a complete functioning system. Bid Alternate #1: Electrical Wiring, and Bid Alternate #2: Landscaping Base Bid: The Project consists of the complete construction of electrical and communications ductbank, street lighting, water line and associated accessories as part of the base bid for the Smoky Mountain Innovation Park in Cocke County along U.S. 25E/S.R. 32. Construction includes, but is not limited to utility trenching, ductbanks, pull boxes, concrete equipment pads, electrical equipment, street light poles, bases and fixtures, all water line appurtenances such as hydrants and valves along with connections to an existing 12-inch water main, and miscellaneous site work as shown in the Contract Drawings and required for a complete functioning system. The project site has an existing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan permit. The selected contractor for the project will be responsible for adhering to the stormwater erosion and sediment control best management practices to comply with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation General Permit Number TRN136232. a. Supplemental information is provided in Appendix A for the Newport Utilities Standard Specifications for Water System Construction. 2. Bid Alternate #1 - Landscaping: Bid Alternate #1 consists of the complete construction of landscaping at the two entrances to the industrial park, including but not limited to vegetation removal, bed preparation, earthwork and plantings. 3. Bid Alternate #2 - Electrical Wiring: Bid Alternate #2 consists of the complete installation of electrical wiring including but not limited to pulling wire and making connections to the termination cabinets.
