The project involves the abatement, removal, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials at the Former Altstadt & Langlas Baking Company located at 54 Lane Street, Waterloo, Iowa. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to see that its proposal is delivered prior to the time for opening bids, along with the appropriate bid security, if required. Any proposal received after the scheduled time for the receiving of proposals will be returned to the bidder unopened and will not be considered. Bidder shall include verification of license to remove asbestos meeting the requirements of Iowa Code, Chapter 88B. BF-96716501 The Waterloo City Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for the project at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers in City Hall, 715 Mulberry Street. The City of Waterloo is seeking a qualified asbestos abatement contractor to remove asbestos containing material (ACM).
