Site work for a transportation facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a runway / taxiway.
The work involves the reconstruction of existing pavement in areas surrounding the Fort Rouge Garage, specifically northwest of the garage outside the wash bay exit and service bay entrances, as identified in the drawings, with an approximate reconstruction area of 2,000 sq.m. Major components include removal of existing asphalt and concrete pavements and curbs within the prescribed areas, excavation and placement of geotextile fabric, geogrid, sub-base material, and base course material, construction of 180 mm reinforced concrete pavements and concrete curbs. All work must be carried out according to the Construction Staging Plan defined by the Consultant. The funds available for this contract are $650,000.
