The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the demolition and turnkey construction of one 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom replacement home located in Ottawa County. The house has tested positive for ACM, and safe work practices as noted in the attached ACM Report must be followed. Bidders are required to furnish all necessary labor, quality control, licenses, material, equipment, tools, supplies, permits, insurance, and supervision to complete the entire project within the specified time. The project must be fully completed within 120 work days, with penalties of $1,000.00 per working day for delays beyond the contract end date. Contract extensions are only allowed under extenuating circumstances. The scope of work and specifications, as well as all necessary form documents, are provided in the bid packet. The bid will be awarded to the lowest, most responsive/responsible bidder. The contract must be executed within ten days of award, or the bid will become null and void and the next lowest responsive/responsible bid will be considered. Contract award is subject to fund availability. The family must sign a Deed Restriction Agreement before work can begin. HACN reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to determine if a bid meets the requirements and is in its best interest. Bidders are responsible for all costs associated with preparation and submission of bids. No bid may be withdrawn within 30 days after the closing date.
