Questions are submitted online No The City of Miami Beach Facilities Management Division requests your quote for molding facade replacement at Normandy Shores Golf Club, pursuant to and in accordance with the specifications contained herein. City departments may, but are not required to, utilize the results of this ITQ to acquire the referenced service. Award of ITQ does not grant the successful contractor(s) exclusive rights or any guarantee of work to provide the services. General Conditions: o All work to be executed by a State of Florida Certified General Contractor. o Pricing to include all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and mobilization. Any change order must be approved by the Project Manager prior to beginning work. o Contractor is to provide pricing for work to be performed during business hours. o Vendor will be responsible for all permits, as required. o Sales tax are to be included in bid. o Contractor shall maintain the site free of debris, and trash is to be picked up daily. o The contractor shall use only those cleaning materials and methods that will not create hazards to health or property and will not damage surfaces. Scope of Work: 1. Project Overview This project covers the removal and replacement of the existing facade molding at the NSGC Clubhouse. The intent is to restore the exterior architectural appearance, address any deterioration, and ensure long-term durability using approved materials and installation methods. 2. Work Included 2.1 Site Preparation o Conduct a visual inspection of the existing facade molding to confirm all areas requiring replacement. o Protect adjacent surfaces, landscaping, walkways, and entryways. o Install temporary barriers, caution tape, or signage to maintain safe access for members and staff. 2.2 Demolition & Removal o Carefully remove all existing facade molding identified for replacement. o Remove loose, damaged, or deteriorated substrate materials as needed. o Dispose of all debris off-site in accordance with local regulations. 2.3 Substrate Repair (as needed) o Inspect underlying sheathing, framing, or stucco for moisture damage or structural issues. o Notify owner/representative of any unforeseen conditions requiring additional work. o Perform minor patching or leveling to ensure a proper surface for new molding installation. o Prepare wall section with bear block/CMB/Stucco for applicable vertical waterproofing system. o Apply vertical waterproofing system with a 10 year manufactures warranty. 2.4 Installation of New Facade Molding o Supply and install new exterior-grade molding matching the existing profile, dimensions, and architectural style (or as otherwise approved). o Use weather-resistant materials such as PVC, composite, polyurethane. o Secure molding using manufacturer-recommended fasteners and adhesives. o Seal all joints, seams, and penetrations with exterior-grade caulking. o Provide material specifications with bid submission. 2.5 Finishing o Prime and paint the new molding to match the existing clubhouse color scheme. o Ensure smooth transitions between new and existing surfaces. o Perform touch-ups on adjacent areas affected during installation. o All work around roof system/flashing to comply with FBC2023. o Contractor to repair any/all damages to existing roof system caused by Facade work. 3. Quality Standards o All work must comply with local building codes and manufacturer installation guidelines. o Materials must be exterior-rated and suitable for high-humidity, coastal environments. o Workmanship must be neat, uniform, and consistent with professional construction standards. 4. Cleanup o Remove all construction debris, packaging, and waste from the site. o Clean affected walkways and surrounding areas. o Leave the site in broom-clean condition. 5. Exclusions o Structural repairs beyond minor substrate patching & line items above. o Replacement of unrelated facade components (e.g., windows, stucco, lighting). o Painting of areas not directly impacted by the molding replacement. o Any work not explicitly listed in this scope. Patch and paint existing exterior walls, NSGC Clubhouse facade. Color to match the existing one using Sherwin Williams paint or approved equal. The contractor shall visit the site to verify the estimated quantities, locations, and overall conditions of the existing site. The contractor shall survey all work indicated per the attached scope and site visit with the Project Manager before proceeding with work. The contractor shall provide a detailed Project Schedule with milestone dates, including the phasing for this job within 4 working days from when the Purchase Order is issued. The contractor shall furnish the Owner with a closeout package including As-Built drawings and Warranty Documents as needed. Estimated Budget: $180,000.00
